Return Policy Review

Beware!! Terrible company. Have to pay shipping to return item and since I got free shipping they are deducting shipping costs from my return. Two shipping fees to return an item. Was going to just reorder from them but never again. I wouldn't order from them. Order from 123dj.com or guitarcenter.

Lower Price option on their website. Email full. Ridiculous.

Their website says one thing, they say something else. Their website is misleading. On their website, the option says, "Seen a Lower Price? Click Here." That URL is: http://www.music123.com/productDetail/includes/seenBetterPrice.jsp?productId=site7prod483899 We then are then supposed to fill out our info and send the lower price and the URL to it, etc. At the end it has a button that says, "Submit Offer." I then get an email from them saying they can't quote prices through email LOL. Wow, really? I composed a return email to them.... It came back undeliverable because their mailbox is full. Why are they still in business? No thanks.... too much trouble with this company. Run by nonprofessionals. I'll go with the lower priced company. Music 123 is a joke!

Music123 is scammer company

Ordered an expensive (>$100) harmonica from Music123 (via Amazon) and received a package from them with an invoice for the harmonica, but the enclosed item was a cheap plastic mouthpiece for a tuba! Music123's return policy said (1) I am responsible for the cost of returning the cheap plastic piece of junk and, (2) that it is subject to a "sanitation fee". I contacted my bank and Amazon, and they helped me file an Amazon claim for a full refund. The idiots at Music123 kept sending me endless e-mails about their "return policy" but Amazon's refund process did not actually require me to jump through any more hoops for the Music123 scammers...I certainly was not going to spend any money or time to help Music123 restock a cheap piece of plastic junk that they could send out to another unwary customer. I just received notice from Amazon that the refund is approved. Meanwhile, during the course of this process I took some time to read "customer feedback" for Music123 at Amazon. They currently have >22,000 reviews, and almost all are 5-stars but very generic remarks....as if somehow the "feedback" had been purchased in bulk. I strongly believe that Music123 has found a means to subvert the Amazon customer feedback system and overwhelm it with phony positive reviews. My guess is it only costs them a few pennies for each phony review. The interesting contrast is Music123's negative reviews on Amazon...they are swamped under the 5-star baloney, but when you find them they are usually 1-star (the lowest possible) and extremely detailed and angry. Music123....don't buy from them, if you do you are courting misery.

Collections nightmare

Music 123 has a collections agency after me for not paying for a product THAT UPS ACKNOWLEDGES WAS NEVER DELIVERED. They will not run the tracking # to verify this, nor will they call off the agency. They say "it's out of our hands" but, according to the collections agency, Music123 is the only one that can call them off. I would caution all here to avoid using this vendor. I have been on the phone 4.5 hours and am still on the phone. They're insane. I need to enter 100 words for this to post....that's crazy, too.

Music123.com Bad Buying Experience

I thought everyone thinking of doing business with music123.com should hear my story before ordering anything from them. I ordered from the music123.com website on February 1, 2012 a $1495 Kremona classical guitar listed as in stock and ready to ship. This was charged to my VISA when I placed the order. I received a confirming email from them, but not till February 6, saying the item had shipped. Four days go by and the UPS shipping status on the UPS website had not changed. When I checked with music123 several times by phone, their people could not explain what was going on. UPS indicated that they had received package information electronically and a label had been created, but did not have the item in their possession. On Friday February 10, I told music123 by phone I would give them a couple more days but would cancel the order if they could not explain this shipping snafu, but they insisted the problem was with UPS. I received an email from them on Sunday, February 12, saying "UPS had returned my order and that my VISA account had been credited." Funny, but where I am, UPS doesn't even run on Sunday. I responded to the email thanking them and assuring them this was my first and last order with music123.com. Then as a response, I guess through some employee of music123's idea of a joke, they had the nerve to send me an email with the subject line " We Love Our Customers – Double Loyalty Points", which I promptly trashed. When I checked with my credit card company, the charge was never placed on my account until February 7 – nearly a week after placing my order and a day AFTER they say the guitar had shipped. What companies like this do you know of that would ship something to someone before they had paid for it? Today is February 14th and the last I checked, the refund posting to my credit card has still not been made by music123.com Buy from someone else. I believe these folks flat lied to me. Why? Don't know. If I were one of their upper managers, I definitely would not tolerate these kinds of fishy lost sales and would find out what smarta$$ emailed me their loyalty points email. They need to know of the arrogant attitude their employees are projecting. I know these folks are huge and don't give a *** about one customer out of zillions, but they should think about what happened to Circuit City and other such arrogant corporate entities that thought they were too big to fail. A lot of that same thinking rendered their big box store employees unemployed and hungry. I predict the same thing will eventually happen with these Big Guys if they stay the present course. I'm sure you guys could easily figure out who this unhappy customer is if you really read the complaint. It seems that you simply did not have an item "in stock and ready to ship" as your site indicated and tried to pass the blame along to UPS.I can't believe you can let a nearly $1500 sale go so easily and not have management asking questions.

That begs a bigger question:what would happen if I bought from you guys and had a problem with the item?

Would you blame it on the manufacturer and leave me to fight with their company in Bulgaria? That would seem to fit with the kind of treatment I've gotten from Music123.com thus far.

Screwed by Music 123

In September of 2010 I ordered a Rickenbacker 360-12 string guitar from Music 123. I had shopped around first and got a price of $1899 from Musician's Friend and ZZounds. I then called Music 123 because I had bought for them before and they were very good about beating other places price. I talked to Mary and she came back with a price of $1600. I was thrilled and placed the order. The only drawback was that the guitar was on back-order till February of 2011. This was disappointing but given the difference in prices I was willing to wait. February rolled around and no call nothing. Finally in mid-February I called them. That's when the fun began. First, I was told that my order had been dropped because it was back-ordered for so long. I was told I should have called to make sure the order was active. Why I needed to call when I was told that it would be in February, I don't know, neither did the person I talked to. However, all was not lost, they had it in stock and could ship it out in a few days. Just one little problem. Their "records" showed the agreed upon price as $1899. As you can imagine, I wasn't very happy. Why would I be willing to wait when I could have had the guitar right there and then for the same price? The person on the other end of the line decided to ask her manager, came back on the line and wouldn't budge on the price. She said they were now selling at $2199 and that $1600 was less than their cost. That was the "real" reason my order was "dropped" and their "records" didn't reflect the right price, Rickenbacker had raised their prices and decided to pass along the new price. They've lost a customer for good. Bill Guilfoil

Music123 SUCKS

placed an order with music123.com on 04/18/08 and the item was backordered. After the item was shown to be back in stock for about 7 to 10 days I emailed music123.com and asked them to ship my order. When the order arrived it was the wrong item. I returned the item and when I received the replacement it was the wrong item again. I called customer service AGAIN and explained the problem. I was told I would receive a $10.00 in store credit for my gasoline and time spent running to the local UPS store TWICE now. I was told to watch the return item and as soon as it started to track the correct item would be shipped RED LABEL (next day air). Well mistakes happen and if all of what customer service told me had been true I wouldn't be spending my time typing this. Is the item music123 shipped me the 3rd time the correct item? Well, I sure don't know because it was not shipped next day air it was shipped USPS 1st class. Hummm... not even express mail. The worst part is music123 could care less. Mistakes I can handle. I will not do business with a company that lies to me. Yes, I called to complain and was not even offered an apology. They can take their $10.00 store credit and shove it. I will never spend another cent with music123.com. It was after my problem with them I started searching the net and finding all the problems others have had with that company. music123.com = bad business. BTW music123.com is offering an awards program (which is why I was buying some stuff from them) where you get 100 points for each dollar you spend. at 125,000 points you have enough points to get a $25.00 gift card. I should have over 130,000 points but they are so behind in the record keping I only show 20,100 points. The other points are still "pending" By no longer doing business with music123.com I will lose $25.00 and the $10.00 credit they said they would give me. However, like I said I will not do business with a company that lies to me. I keep putting music123.com in this post so maybe the search engines will pick it up better. Maybe someone about to order and searches the web will see how music123.com treats their customers. If the pickups are not the correct ones this time I'll get a refund. If the order had not been shipped or had I known I was being lied to I would have canceled the order.

Music123 not reliable go elsewhere

My son thought it would be easy to obtain his instrument through Music123. I must admit at first it seemed like a great deal. They said it would arrrive in 3 to 7 days. The next day I got an email that the item was out of stock. Gee, couldn't they tell me that when I ordered it? The same email said that they still expected to deliver it in the time frame promised. When it didn't arrive and the shipping status online was ambiguous, I called them. I was informed that rather than the 3 to 7 days indicated their new estimate was 3 and 1/2 half months!!! Perhaps the company's name includes the number of months your order may be delayed: 1-2-3-who knows? Look elsewhere, this outfit is lame.

I did, which is why I am kind of surprised to see these complaints. I bought an $800 guitar from them in 2004.

It arrived in the promised time frame and was in excellent condition. But I couldn't find the whammy bar because I didn't know about the compartment under the neck support in Fender cases, so I got in touch with them and told them the whammy bar had not been included. They sent me another one.

After I found the original, I got in touch with them again and offered to return the replacement, but they told me to keep it. I would definitely do business with them again, especially before doing business with those *** ripoffs at Guitar Center and Sam Ash.
